Vovousa Village

Accompanied by the sound of the waters of the Aoos River, Vovousa is a less known but equally impressive village. The stone bridge that connects its two settlements – the river crosses the village and divides it – dates back to 1748.

Although Vovousa is built in the depths of Pindos and is the most designated of all Zagorochoria, its residents do not abandon it and keep on taking care of it and especially during the past few years that there are plans to change the flow of Aoos, something that will harm the village and the ecosystem as well.
